Great Summary of decades of hits - Yep, Aerosmith have released many many greatest hits albums. I think this one has the best mixture of tracks of the lot though, a range of all their hits starting from way back. Some fantastic songs.Highly recommended if you ve only heard a limited amount of Aerosmith music, as it ll give you the pick of the best of the rest, and you may well decide to look into their more obscure stuff.

You what? - This CD doesn t deserve 1 star. It s the quality of the music that it should be judged on, rather the necessity of the release. Personally, buying this album got me really into Aerosmith, it s full of many absolutley quality tracks. 5 stars.

I love this CD! - This CD contains the most two brilliant songs ever! Dude Looks Like A Lady and I Don t Wanna Miss A Thing! This is great! The rest are OK...

A fourth best of in five years? Why? - To say if you re a true Aerosmith fan you wouldn t complain is nonsense. Being a fan doesn t mean you have to blindly follow when your heroes get it wrong. Why do we need another compilation of the same songs that were on the last three greatest hits CDs? Maybe they don t have the time/energy/enthusiasm to make a brand new record right now. That s fine. They ve been doing this for nearly 40 years. They re entitled to only make albums when they feel like it after that long. But filling the space between albums with cash cows like this is a real slap in the face for the fans. Why not release a b-sides and rarities comilation instead? There are several live b-sides from various singles over the years that are no longer available, plus all the studio rare tracks: What Kind of Love Are You On, Animal Crackers, Head First, Don t Stop, Fall Together, Angel s Eyes, Blind Man, Deuces Are Wild, Girls of Summer, Devil s Got a New Disguise, Sedona Sunrise, Come Together, Lay It Down, Walk On Water, Love Me Two Times, Lizard Love, Ain t Enough, Won t Let You Down... the list goes on. A compilation of this kind would be so much better received by the fans than yet another recycling of the songs they already have several times over. There s also the issue of one of the biggest rock bands of all time still not having a real top-drawer live DVD available... that could surely be dealt with as well!

It s O YEAH! but watered down & with 2 new tracks... - In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, this is hard to pigeonhole. & that means I don t know who would actually buy it. Now, I like Aerosmith but I m not their number 1 fan, which probably does help (I ll explain why shortly) so when I heard a new best of album was coming out, I was interested but not overly convinced. Whilst in Woolies, I decided to have a look at the back cover & realised after reading the track list, it had all the tracks that O YEAH! had, but less & 2 new tracks. Hardly worth spending £10 on in my opinion. You can get O YEAH! for like half the price, & you ll get a lot more tracks for your money. & if you desperately want the 2 new tracks, buy em off Napster or iTunes & then burn them onto a cd with all the other tracks you like & you ll save a lot of money. So who exactly is going to buy this? Real Aerosmith fans. Unfortunately they seem to lacking in common sense as they ll happily pay for the same album on 5 separate occasions despite the fact that it doesn t really change. & this is exactly whom Aerosmith set out to sucker punch money out of their wallets & they seem to have suceeded.
